TYPICAL STEPS IN THE DESIGN PROCESS
STEP ONE: ( You contact me).
Upon the client deciding on Bogden Design Studio, Inc. as a
possible designer for their project, the client can contact Bogden Design Studio, Inc. by mail, phone, fax, e-mail or thru
our website’s contact form.
STEP TWO: (I contact you).
The designer will then contact the client. Discuss the proposed
project. Go over the designer’s fees. Cover what is and is not
offered by the design contract. Inform client of information
needed by the designer. Go over the design process and turn
around time. If client agrees upon Bogden Design Studio, Inc.’s
terms and fees, we will then schedule a time to sit down and
meet in person, or if client is not local, we will set up a time
to meet over the phone or internet conference to finalize
project details.
STEP THREE: (My availability).
All meetings for new clients will be held at the clients’ site,
home, office or at a specified time and location agreed upon by
both parties. I will come to your location in the Company Truck.
All meetings will be held Monday thru Friday, after 5 P.M. or
Saturdays and Sundays, 8 A.M. until 8 P.M.. (Monday thru Friday,
8 A.M. until 5 P.M., the designers time will be dedicated to
current clients, current meetings and current projects.)
(Meetings at my Home Studio by appointment only).
For non-local clients, meetings will be held over the phone or
internet conference.
STEP FOUR: (We meet).
At the scheduled meeting, the designer will present the client
with design examples and photographs of works that are similar
to proposed project. Designer will present a contract stating
our fees and what is and is not included in the proposed design.
If client decides to hire the designer at this time, a 50% down
payment of total contract is due to begin the design process. We
will then go over the projects design requirements again. The
designer will take his notes back to the office and begin
designing your project. For non-local clients, design examples
and photographs will supplied over the internet. The contract
can be printed off the website, signed & dated, faxed or emailed
back and forth between us. The check can then be mailed and work
will begin upon receipt of check.
STEP FIVE: (I work and you review).
During the design process, the client will be presented with a
series of designs at different stages that will require comment,
review and approval. To simplify this process, the designer will
supply the client with a free software program that can be
downloaded from the internet that will allow the client to
receive the designer drawings anywhere in the world by e-mail.
Open and view the designer’s drawings. Comments, changes or any
additions to the design may be noted by client and e-mailed back
to designer for further modification. Phone calls may be
substituted for e-mails. This process will repeat until the
construction documents are completed and approved by the client.
STEP SIX: (Final meeting).
At the final in person meeting, a payment for the remaining 50%
of contract is due upon the clients acceptance of the approved
finished construction documents. For non-local clients, final
approval of construction documents may be done by online review.
Upon approval, final check can be mailed to designer. Upon
receipt of final check, the designer will mail finished
construction documents to your location.
ADDITIONAL FEES: (Optional).
There may be additional fees due at this time. Please refer to
our contract to see what is included, is not included or offered
for an additional billable fee.

“I will come to your location in one of the Company Trucks or via the internet.”
